As hiring recovers after the credit crisis and ensuing recession, employment in human resources is expected to increase over the next 5 years.
With an increasing number of standards being set by the courts in the fields of wage law, equal employment opportunity, health care, and more, there will be an increase in the need for experts in human resources and relations. Additionally, with an eventual recovery and the continued global expansion of American firms, more people will be needed for international labor relations matters.
Due to recent downsizes and financial difficulties, however, new jobs in HR have been minimal over the past year.
